Windsor Merano Hotel & Suites

This hotel made what would have been a stressful trip amazing. The flight into Italy was diverted and so my arrival time was seriously delayed. Arriving late, tired and surprisingly wet from rain the reception was waiting and ready to get me situated. This hotel is a family business that makes you feel at home. Easy walking distance from the city center and along the river it gives you beautiful views and a quaint atmosphere. I would love to stay here longer and hope to do so again soon.

Spend there 2 nights with my wife to do some sightseeing. Standard rooms are a bit tiny - but for a short trip its sufficient. The owners are very friendly and also offer a "car service" - means there are garages in the basement where you can safely store your car - during the current weather extremes very good! The breakfast was one of the best i've ever head. Its not as huge as in big wellness Hotels - but everything is there. And what's there, is absolute fresh. Fresh fruits, croissants, scrambled egg, meat, cheese....really really good! would definitely go there again if we visit Meran again!

We need to emphasise the amazing service we experienced here! Especially the staff member with the golden glasses showed a kind of hospitality which can easily compare to the service in top hotels of the world. Extraordinary, impressive and something that made our stay extremely enjoyable! Everything else about this hotel is said in previous posts: beautiful pool and relaxing whirlpool, perfectly clean and thoughtful renovated room, excellent breakfast, 5 min walk to the center along the beautiful river… If you want to be absolutely flawless exchange the sirup orange juice to a 100% orange or even fresh juice :)

The best place I’ve ever been. Best location, The room was wonderful, clean, and comfortable. staff was incredibly helpful, very welcoming and there for every need. Whenever you need something, they are ready to help. For example, when you need coffee, toast, an iron or someone to open the hotel door. These were the best days of our trip and I thank them for that. Whenever go to Merano, I will choose this hotel. ♥️♥️♥️

We stayed for 7 nights. We highly recommend this hotel. It has a very good location overlooking the promenade and the river. The centre of Merano is about 10 minutes walk along the promenade. The hotel sent us emails with useful information in advance of our stay. While staying at the hotel the staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly Daniele and Klaus on reception, who respectively arranged a packed breakfast for us on the day of departure as our train was leaving at 7.46am, and helped us find an optician to buy replacement reading glasses for my husband. We stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the garden. The Suite had a lovely bathroom with a bath and a shower, as well as comfortable beds, twin duvets, a comfortable chair and settee, air conditioning and double glazing. It was a good place to sit and relax after a busy day. The TV showed German and Italian channels. Last but by no means least the breakfast offered is varied and good!
